Pastor Shawn Emerson: Senior pastor since 2007. The two years prier I was the associate pastor working with Rev. Haley. I received my first Local Preaching Licence in 2003 in the N. Waldoboro Church of the Nazarene. I received my second local preaching Licence in 2004 here in the Norway Church. My first District Licence was given in 2005. This past year I have completed my last course of study and am preparing for Ordination in 2011. Karen an I attended the MWD , it was a huge blessing.
Karen Emerson: besides being the a wonderful wife Karen has many jobs in the church. Karen is our Sunday school superintendent, Piano player, Song Leader, takes the min. For the board. Karen teaches a adult Bible study on Thursdays. Karen works very hard to maintain the food pantry and all it’s needs with the help of volunteers. Karen wares many hats and as God leads people to the church with gifts and abilities Karen has released some of these responsibilities. Karen also on top of all these other places of service she clean the church.
Albert Temm has been our head trustee for many years. He has done a wonderful job maintaining the church property. Albert has been able to engineer a new serving window for the food pantry. This window will assist Karen an other volunteers that run the food pantry . Albert had assisted with maintenance, Lawn care and help with all the church physical needs. Albert also is our head Usher and always can be counted on.
Brent Stroud is one of our trustees and also the church treasurer. Brent has worked very hard to maintain the church financial books as well as assist the church in maintaining the physical needs of the church. For two years Brent has maintained the church web page. Between trustee, Treasurer and web master we the church have kept Brent very busy.
Christal Stroud is our Nazarene Mission International president. Christal has been our NMI president for several years. Her love for missions is very evident as she brings us a mission service each month. Christal has a great passion for Mission. Recently through our NMI Dept we as a church have sponsored two foreign children through compassionate ministries.
New to the Board is Paige. Paige is our NYI president. Paige plans and schedule trips. We are in a rebuilding year for the youth group and we are excited to see what God has planned for us as He leads the youth group through Paige .
